Pão de queijo is a popular Brazilian snack made from tapioca flour and cheese, resulting in a chewy, gluten-free bread that’s perfect for any occasion.

Tapioca flour250 g

Milk100 ml

🫒 Huiles et matières grasses

Vegetable oil80 ml

Grated cheese (Parmesan or similar)150 g

🔪 Préparation

Faites ceci avant de commencer à cuisiner

  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • Grease a baking tray or line it with parchment paper
  • Measure out all ingredients

In a saucepan, combine milk, vegetable oil, and salt, and bring to a boil over medium heat.

Once boiling, remove from heat and add tapioca flour, mixing well until fully incorporated.

Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth after each addition.

Fold in the grated cheese until evenly distributed.

Using your hands, form small balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking tray.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and puffed.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
