📋 Instructions
Feed your sourdough starter 4-6 hours before starting the bread.
Measure out all ingredients.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the active sourdough starter and water.
Stir until the starter is dissolved.
Add the bread flour and salt to the mixture.
Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
After resting, knead the dough in the bowl for about 5 minutes until smooth.
Cover the bowl again and let it rise at room temperature for 4-6 hours or until doubled in size.
Preheat your oven to 230°C.
Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a piece of parchment paper.
Cover the loaf with a cloth and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
Transfer the loaf with the parchment into a preheated Dutch oven.
Bake for 30 minutes with the lid on, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
