Bolo de fubá is a traditional Brazilian corn cake that is light, fluffy, and slightly sweet. It's perfect for breakfast or as a snack with coffee.

Milk250 ml
Butter100 g

🔪 Preparation

Do this before you start cooking

  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • Grease and flour a round cake pan
  • Melt the butter and let it cool slightly

In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk and melted butter

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean

Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan
