Preheat oven to 200°C
Finely chop the onion and garlic
Grate the carrot
Thaw the puff pastry sheets
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat
Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until soft, about 3-4 minutes
Add the ground beef, breaking it up and cooking until browned
Stir in the grated carrot, beef broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce
Season with salt and pepper, then simmer for 10 minutes until thickened
Line a pie dish with one sheet of puff pastry, trimming excess
Fill the pastry with the meat mixture, spreading evenly
Cover with the second sheet of puff pastry, sealing the edges and cutting slits in the top
Beat the egg and brush it over the top pastry
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown
Let cool for a few minutes before serving
