Preheat oven to 180°C

Soak the bread in milk for 10 minutes

Finely chop the onion and garlic

Chop the almonds coarsely

Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat

Add chopped onions and garlic, and sauté until soft

Add the ground beef and cook until browned

Squeeze excess milk from the soaked bread and add it to the pan

Stir in raisins, curry powder, turmeric, salt, and pepper

Mix everything well and cook for a few minutes

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and smooth the top

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the remaining milk

Pour the egg mixture over the meat in the baking dish

Top with bay leaves and sprinkle with chopped almonds

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until set and golden

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving
