📋 Instructions
Preheat oven to 180°C
Finely chop the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic
Grate the Parmesan cheese
Prepare the lasagna sheets according to package instructions if necessary
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat
Add chopped onion, carrot, celery, and garlic; sauté until softened, about 5 minutes
Add ground beef and ground pork to the pan; cook until browned
Stir in canned tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, salt, and pepper; simmer for 30 minutes
In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat
Add flour and whisk for 1-2 minutes to create a roux
Gradually pour in the milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps
Cook until the sauce thickens, then season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg
Spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish
Layer lasagna sheets on top, followed by béchamel sauce and more meat sauce
Repeat the layers, finishing with béchamel sauce and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden
Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving
