Do this before you start cooking

  • Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces
  • In a bowl, mix yogurt with spices and add chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes
  • Chop onion, garlic, and ginger finely

Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat

Add chopped onion and sautรฉ until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes

Add garlic and ginger, cook for an additional 2 minutes

Stir in the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes

Add the marinated chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 10 minutes

Sprinkle in cumin, coriander, garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder, and mix well

Simmer the sauce for 10-15 minutes until thickened

Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped cilantro
