Preheat oven to 200°C
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Measure out all dry ingredients and mix in a bowl
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
Make a well in the center and pour in the buttermilk.
Mix gently with your hands until the dough comes together.
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly for about 1 minute.
Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
Cut a deep cross on the top of the dough with a sharp knife.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown.
Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
