🔪 Preparation

Do this before you start cooking

  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • Finely chop the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic
  • Grate the Parmesan cheese
  • Heat the milk in a saucepan until warm

Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat

Add the chopped onion, carrot, celery, and garlic, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes

Add the ground beef and cook until browned

Stir in the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, beef stock, salt, and pepper; simmer for 30 minutes

In a separate saucepan, melt the butter, then stir in the flour to create a roux

Slowly whisk in the warm milk, cooking until thickened; season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg

In a baking dish, layer a thin layer of bolognese sauce, followed by lasagna sheets, béchamel, and grated Parmesan

Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of béchamel and a sprinkle of Parmesan on top

Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden

Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving
